Game & Blockchain Development
October was focused on getting everything ready for the alpha launch on November 1st, which was a huge milestone in the story of Atlantis World, and culmination of everything we’ve been building for 2+ months!
Play for free here.
A few highlights include:
All non-essential features stripped down to fine tune and polish the things that we felt were most important to the core of the game.
Onboarding quest sequence was added for new players to learn AW controls.
Maps that contain incomplete web3 implementation or that aren’t part of the alpha launch event month have been temporarily closed off to focus the player experience in specific locations.
Events can now be hosted in the event centre and all partner clubhouse buildings – which involves video and voice broadcast to everyone in the designated listener zone.
The Oracle’s Calendar: in-game event calendar that allows you to view upcoming events and teleport to their locations (unlocked by completing quest).
The Magical Map: in-game mini map has been added to see where you are, and can teleport to other locations (unlocked by completing quest).
Bug hunters program was rolled out, where some Founding Atlanteans reported 50+ bugs which were then squashed by our stellar devs, further improving the game.
Questing system itself has been greatly improved allowing for more complex and intricate quests.
Dialogue system has also been updated to allow for more complex dialogues.
UI has been fully revamped, to have more consistent styles, more game-like art assets, and new NPC dialogue sprites.
The game servers have been optimised for players to be better in sync as well as reduce overall bandwidth usage.
And a lot more we can’t mention! Needless to say, our team is very busy building.
Thank you for reading and being a part of the Atlantis journey!
We look forwards to continue keeping you in the loop, every month.
Nice
